At The Arterie, we teach the fundamentals of drawing and painting, foster an appreciation of art and artists, and allow for creative expression. We believe every artist should be allowed the opportunity to express themselves through visual art. Our students are encouraged to develop their work through the use of a variety of mediums and techniques. We teach students how to see the world around them and apply their learning to their work. Our classes are grouped by age rather than skill level so that each person may reach his or her full potential in a positive learning environment. We keep our classes small to give more individual support. What we don't do is have students create cookie-cutter art nor copy paintings from books.

Studio Class Policies
You may join a class at any time, space permitting. Unless otherwise noted, enrollment is month-to-month, with your class meeting once per week within that month. Tuition is based on an average of (4) classes per month. We won't charge more for months with five weeks nor less for months with three weeks. Classes are year-round and on-going with the exception of weekday morning classes during the times when camps are running. All children's classes (with the exception of Toddler Art) are drop-off classes. Tuition is due at time of enrollment and on the 1st of each month thereafter. Tuition may be paid by cash, personal check, or credit card. Please make checks payable to: The Arterie. A $20 fee will be charged for all returned checks. A credit card must be on file, unless paying by check. If paying by check, tuition is due on the first of each month or a $5/day fee will be added until payment is received. Students wishing to withdraw must email the studio at least 7 days before the first of the month to avoid incurring new tuition charges. Refunds are not possible after the first of the month if a student withdraws within that month. If you miss a class and give prior notice, you may come in for a make-up class at another time, space permitting, within 90 days. There will be no refunds for missed classes and there is no pro-rating of classes. Make-up classes are offered to currently enrolled students and do not replace monthly tuition.
